Advice on Body Building Fitness
October 18th, 2009When you are a body builder, there are several things you must remember so that you maintain body building fitness in the correct way. Body building is not only about doing weights, it is also about body building nutrition and knowing how much exercise your body can handle. Overdoing exercise may lead to injury, while not exercising enough may not help you achieve the body building objectives you set for yourself. Here are a few tips that you can follow to make sure you are following good body building fitness practices.
Water
Make sure that you are always hydrated before body building exercise, during it and after the exercise. By staying hydrated you will be able to exercise well without the discomfort of dehydration and overheating your body.
Warm Ups
Before starting any kind of workout, it is essential that every body builder get the proper warm up before lifting weights. By doing a few stretches and by getting at least five minutes on a treadmill or a stationary bike will help in boosting blood flow before weight lifting can even be considered. Then a short warm up with some light weights with about 12 reps for each muscle group should also be done before actually starting actual heavier weight training. Without a good warm up, one could sustain an injury and merely cause a sprain or worse.
